City council to reconsider school admission appeal after Ombudsman investigation
Nottingham City Council has been told to offer a fresh schools admission hearing to a young boy who needed to move school because of “honour” based violence. The boy’s mother had applied for her son to move into Year Five at the new school, because she wanted him to attend a school that no other family members attended.

IGT Ali Noroozi will not seek third term
The Inspector-General of Taxation (IGT), Ali Noroozi, today confirmed he will not be seeking reappointment for a third term. Mr Noroozi has served in the role for 10 years and during this time has undertaken more than 30 reviews across a broad range of issues, including ATO debt collection, tax disputes, audits, transfer pricing, services to tax practitioners, taxpayer rights, IT upgrades and so-called ‘U-turns’.

Première conclusion d’enquête du Protecteur du citoyen du Québec en matière d’intégrité publique
Le 1er mai 2017, la Loi facilitant la divulgation d’actes répréhensibles à l’égard des organismes publics confiait au Protecteur du citoyen le mandat de traiter les divulgations d’actes répréhensibles commis au sein ou à l’égard d’un organisme public. C’est dans le cadre de ce nouveau mandat que le Protecteur du citoyen diffuse sa première conclusion d’enquête en matière d’intégrité publique.

Latest report from Victorian Ombudsman on recommendations - focus on social justice
Inadequate financial support provided to kinship carers and children from disadvantaged backgrounds being expelled from school at a disproportionately high rate are among the issues identified by the Victorian Ombudsman over the past year. Ombudsman Deborah Glass has tabled in the Victorian Parliament her second biennial report on the implementation of her investigations’ recommendations. Her report covers the 125 recommendations she made to state and local government bodies between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2018.

Edouard Nduwimana, effectue une visite d’amitié et de travail en République de Côte d’Ivoire depuis ce jeudi, 28 juin 2018. Son Excellence l’Ombudsman de la République a eu, ce vendredi le 29 juin 2018, une séance de travail avec son homologue Ivoirien, Adama Toungara.

Defensoría del Pueblo porteña publicó informe sobre residuos sólidos urbanos
La Defensoría del Pueblo de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires presentó el informe “Basura cero. Combustión, inclusión y cuidado ambiental”, que busca concientizar sobre la mejor forma de manejar los residuos, ya que “si la basura sigue aumentando, no habrá tecnología que lo resuelva”, asegura el trabajo elaborado por el Área de Medio Ambiente de la institución.

Mujeres presas y el acceso al trabajo
La PPN realizó una mesa de intercambio sobre el acceso al trabajo de las mujeres cis, trans y travestis privadas de la libertad. Con el objeto de generar un espacio de intercambio y construcción se desarrolló la jornada “Cárcel y acceso al trabajo desde una perspectiva de género y diversidad” de la que participaron académicas, actores gubernamentales, actores judiciales y cooperativas de trabajo de liberadas.
