Le Défenseur des droits est en charge de la mission de lutte contre les discriminations et de promotion de l’égalité. A ce titre, l’institution alerte depuis des années sur l’insuffisante mobilisation des pouvoirs publics et a publié de nombreuses propositions de réformes et recommandations afin de mieux prévenir et sanctionner les discriminations. Les près de 5000 appels et 1500 tchats initiés sur la plateforme antidiscriminations.fr depuis son lancement en février dernier par le Défenseur des droits démontrent à nouveau les attentes et besoins de la population.

Comenzó el 3° Congreso Latinoamericano de Justicia Restaurativa
Este jueves se llevó a cabo la primera de tres jornadas del Congreso que se plantea bajo el lema “Justicia Restaurativa y Derechos Humanos: Promoviendo Prácticas Restaurativas como Políticas Públicas”. El flamante presidente del Instituto Internacional del Ombudsman (IIO), Chris Field destacó en su mensaje grabado que los ombudmans juegan un papel muy importante en todo el mundo y celebró la realización del Congreso.

Northern Ireland Ombudsman proposes new complaints handling standards for public bodies
The Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman, Margaret Kelly, has today called for a culture change in the way public bodies in Northern Ireland deal with complaints from members of the public. Her comments came as a new survey showed two thirds of people who were dissatisfied with the level of service from a public body said they would not complain as they thought it would make no difference or be too trivial.

El contexto de la persona refugiada en Panamá; Perspectiva de Género I y II; Salud Mental en Mujeres Refugiadas y Migrantes, fueron algunos de los temas abordados en la jornada de sensibilización sobre prevención y respuesta a la violencia basada en género con personas migrantes y refugiados, organizado por la dirección de Protección de los Derechos Humanos de la Mujer de la Defensoría del Pueblo con el apoyo de la Organización de Protección a Refugiados (HIAS); el Consejo Noruego (NCR) y el Instituto Nacional de la Mujer.
