Ombudsman, Public Defenders and Mediators met on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Ombudsman of South Tyrol. Ombudsperson Gaby Schwarz attended the event as Chairperson of the Austrian Ombudsman Board and as Secretary General of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI).

Sindh Ombudsman Institution takes stock of its brand ambassador program launched to provide accessibility to the general public
The Brand Ambassador program at universities has been initiated through the Regional Subsidy program of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) in 2022-23 in order to foster a deeper understanding of the mandate and scope of the Sindh Ombudsman Institute and to inform the student-community and general public about its availability for the dispensation of administrative justice and speedy redressal of their complaints, particularly in remote and far flung areas.

New Secretary General Bernhard Achitz takes office
On 10 March 2025, Mr. Bernhard Achitz took office as the new Secretary General of the International Ombudsman Institute. He succeeds Gaby Schwarz in this important role and is looking forward to continuing the important work and services, which the IOI provides to its members around the world. He thanks Ms. Schwarz for her strong commitment and service to the IOI.

Le 10 mars 2025, M. Bernhard Achitz a pris ses fonctions de nouveau Secrétaire général de l'Institut International de l'Ombudsman. Il succède à Gaby Schwarz à ce poste important et se réjouit de poursuivre le travail et les services importants que l'IIO fournit à ses membres dans le monde entier. Il remercie Mme Schwarz pour son fort engagement et service à l'IIO.
