Mr. SUGAWARA Nozomu was appointed Director General of the Administrative Evaluation Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan. After duties of a deputy Director-General of the Digital Agency, he took up the role of Director-General of AEB, Ombudsman of Japan, on 7 July 2023.

La institución elevó a la Legislatura una iniciativa legislativa que estipula los requisitos para crear una empresa de este tipo, sus obligaciones y crea un registro público para darle transparencia a la actividad, que engloba a más de dos millones y medios de personas en Latinoamérica, muchas veces en forma irregular, para garantizar que las empresas cuenten con la formación, capacitación y equipamiento adecuados.

Globally Sharing Public Institution Comprehensive Integrity Assessment
Korea’s anti-corruption policies, including the Public Institution Comprehensive Integrity Assessment, were introduced to 189 State Parties during the United Nations Convention against Corruption meeting held in Vienna, from June 12 to 16, 2023. The ACRC shared Korea’s anti-corruption policies and engaged in discussions on internationally pending issues relating to anti-corruption at the 14th UNCAC Implementation Review Group and the 14th Working Group on Prevention meeting.

Sindh Ombudsman establishes Climate & Disaster Justice Unit
The Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Mr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput, inaugurated the one-of-its-kind Climate & Disaster Justice Unit, a pioneering initiative to ensure expeditious and justifiable redressal of complaints stemming from climate-related and man-made disasters. The Unit will be a fast-paced mechanism resolving issues of delay, corruption, or neglect in relief, rehabilitation and public service delivery. It will be working on safeguarding vulnerable groups, inclusive governance, and coordination with UN agencies, NGOs, and civil society.
