Protection of child victims of human trafficking is in the focus of the Protector of Citizens
The Deputy Protector of Citizens for Children's Rights, Jelena Stojanović, said today that this institution, in carrying out the tasks of the National Rapporteur in the field of trafficking in human beings, a new competence given by the new Law on the Protector of Citizens from November 2021, will pay special attention to child victims of trafficking in human beings.

Signature d’un Mémorandum d’Entente entre l’Institution du Médiateur du Royaume et le Commissaire aux Droits de l’Homme d’Azerbaïdjan
M. Mohamed BENALILOU, le Médiateur du Royaume, a signé le mercredi 19 octobre 2022, un Mémorandum d’Entente avec Mme Sabina ALYEVA, Commissaire aux droits de l’Homme (l’Ombudsman) à la République d’Azerbaïdjan, en parallèle avec les travaux de la conférence internationale organisée à Bakou relative à la période du 19 et 20 octobre 2022 à propos du rôle des institutions d’ombudsmans et des institutions nationales des droits de l’Homme à protéger les droits socio-économiques.

South Korean Gender Equality and Family Committee delegation visits Control Yuan
A delegation of the South Korean National Assembly's Committee for Gender Equality and Family visited the Control Yuan on March 30. The two sides engaged in open and friendly exchanges of views on a range of topics, including women’s political participation as well as the supervision of government. The visiting dignitaries praised the Control Yuan’s balanced gender ratio after President Chang explained that 14 of the CY’s 29 members, half of its directors and more than half of its employees are female.

La Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos de México presentó la investigación Estudios sobre el cumplimiento e impacto de las recomendaciones generales, informes especiales y pronunciamientos de la CNDH 2001-2017, Tomo I - Niñas, niños y adolescentes. Este estudio tiene como objetivo generar un diagnóstico sobre los alcances y el grado de cumplimiento de los Instrumentos de Posicionamiento emitidos por la Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos (CNDH) en el tema de niñas, niños y adolescentes.

Northwest Territories Ombud releases report on own motion investigation into complaints handling and service fairness in the income assistance program
The report, entitled An Ounce of Prevention: Fairness in the Income Assistance Program, considered service fairness in the Northwest Territories government’s administration of its income assistance program, which provides financial help to people who would otherwise have difficulty meeting basic needs.
