Con el objeto de generar un espacio de intercambio y construcción se desarrolló la jornada “Cárcel y acceso al trabajo desde una perspectiva de género y diversidad” de la que participaron académicas, actores gubernamentales, actores judiciales y cooperativas de trabajo de liberadas.

On June 29, by the initiative of the Chairmen of the RA National Assembly Mr. Ara Babloyan, a working meeting entitled “Issues of children with disabilities” was initiated based on recommendations stated in the RA Human Rights Defender’s “Commitments under the Convention of the Rights of the Child and its protocols: The state of fulfilment by Armenia” ad hoc report and recommendations on issues of children highlighted in the program of RA Government.

Latest report from Victorian Ombudsman on recommendations - focus on social justice
Inadequate financial support provided to kinship carers and children from disadvantaged backgrounds being expelled from school at a disproportionately high rate are among the issues identified by the Victorian Ombudsman over the past year. Ombudsman Deborah Glass has tabled in the Victorian Parliament her second biennial report on the implementation of her investigations’ recommendations. Her report covers the 125 recommendations she made to state and local government bodies between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2018.

The Inspector-General of Taxation (IGT), Ali Noroozi, today confirmed he will not be seeking reappointment for a third term. The Office of the Ombudsman will soon be monitoring the treatment of patients in privately run aged care facilities and detainees in court cells. The additional responsibilities were gazetted today. They are in addition to the Office’s current responsibilities under the United Nation’s Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture (OPCAT).

Mercredi 27 juin au Sénat, la commission des affaires sociales a étudié le projet de loi pour la liberté de choisir son avenir professionnel adopté par l'Assemblée nationale. Le projet de loi est examiné au Sénat, en séance publique, ce mardi 10 juillet. Au titre de sa mission de lutte contre les discriminations et de promotion de l’égalité, le Défenseur des droits a émis un avis sur le projet de loi le 28 mai dernier.
