El defensor del Pueblo a/c, Jorge Henn, recibió a un grupo de afiliadas que padecen diabetes del tipo 1 o progenitores de niños con esa patología, quienes le presentaron una nota en la cual describen los padeceres en pos de garantizarse sus tratamientos: largas esperas para acceder a los insumos, dilaciones burocráticas y presupuestos que quedan obsoletos como consecuencia de la aceleración de la inflación.

In addition to receiving complaints from the public, they also expressed a particular interest in the investment status of the Taichung Popular Audiovisual Center and the maintenance of the facilities at Taichung Central Park.

On 19 August 2025, BC Ombudsperson Jay Chalke released four reports to support the Legislative Assembly’s mandatory five-year review of the Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA). The reports give legislators real case examples, lessons learned, and proposed amendments to strengthen the Act, based on the Ombudsperson’s experience investigating disclosures of public wrongdoing.

2023-12-14Annual Report on the activities of the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture in 2022
On 18 December 2022, 20 years had passed since the adoption, by the UN General Assembly, of the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. Thanks to the implementation of the OPCAT into the Polish legal system, the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture has been operating in Poland for nearly 15 years already as part of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights.

On 20-24 November 2023, Seimas Ombudsperson Erika Leonaitė and the advisors of the Human Rights Division of the Office visited Copenhagen. The study visit was organised by the Danish Parliamentary Ombudsman's Office, which not only deals with complaints, like most Ombudsman institutions, but also carries out national torture prevention functions in accordance with the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
