Los casos registrados se incrementaron en casi un 50 % en ambos periodos. La región Ayacucho pasó de reportar 16 quejas durante 2022 a 148, en 2023. Como parte de la campaña #AlColeSinBarreras se reitera a la ciudadanía que el proceso de matrícula escolar en colegios públicos es gratuito.

Public Defender introduces new Deputy Public Defender
On 29 January 2024, Public Defender Levan Ioseliani presented a new Deputy Public Defender of Georgia. Irine Chikhladze will coordinate and supervise the activities of the Department of Children's Rights, Gender Department, Department of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Equality Department and Regional Division of the Public Defender's Office.

Defensoría del Pueblo: falta de interés de alcaldes impide funcionamiento de instancias de lucha contra violencia hacia las mujeres en Pasco
Al estar próximos a finalizar el primer mes del año, la oficina de la Defensoría del Pueblo en Pasco exhortó al Gobierno Regional de Pasco a retomar el trabajo de las instancias de concertación de lucha contra la violencia hacia las mujeres e integrantes del grupo familiar. Mediante este pedido, se busca evitar repetir lo ocurrido en el 2023, en que la actividad de estos grupos de trabajo fue mínima, lo que dificultó la reducción de los índices de violencia en esta región.

It sheds light on the Chancellor's diverse tasks, including serving as the National Human Rights Institution, Ombudsman for Children, National Preventive Mechanism against ill-treatment, and the supervisor of obligations outlined in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
