Ombudsman Commission intervention results in neighbourhood relief from water woes
In October 2022, the Ombudsman Commission received a complaint in relation to continuous waters disruptions from a long-time resident in one of the suburbs in the National Capital District (city). The resident raised concern that her neighbourhood had been experiencing continuous water disruption for almost twenty years.

Ombudsperson Schwarz welcomed a delegation from Rhineland-Palatinate
Gaby Schwarz, Ombudsperson of the Austrian Ombudsman Board and Secretary General of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI), received a delegation from the Petitions Committee of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament and the Ombudsperson of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, who is also the Ombudsperson of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Police.

School items donated to children in need
Based on the initiative of Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma, the agencies and organizations – such as the Hungarian Prison Service, the Police and the state-owned forest enterprises – participating in the renovation and refurbishment-related programme aimed at several residential child care communities donated school supplies to the residents of these facilities, including the ones that had been renovated through mutual effort.

Inspector’s report on Cairns and Murgon watch-houses released
The Cairns and Murgon watch‑houses inspection report: Focus on detention of children, prepared by the Inspector of Detention Services, was tabled by the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP, Speaker of the Queensland Parliament on Wednesday, 11 September 2024. Under the Inspector of Detention Services Act 2022 the Queensland Ombudsman, Mr Anthony Reilly, is also the Inspector of Detention Services.
