El 23 de marzo de 2022 se dieron a conocer los fundamentos de la sentencia emitida por el Tribunal Oral en lo Criminal Federal N°1 de La Plata en el marco de un caso por hechos de torturas impuestas por agentes del SPF contra dos detenidos en diciembre de 2007 en el Complejo Penitenciario Federal Nº I.

Control Yuan organizes keynote speech on new citizen judges trial system
Among the people’s written complaints received by the Control Yuan (CY), cases regarding judicial and prison administration accounted for the largest number, as high as 39.1%. In order to get better understanding of the Citizen Judges Act, which will take effect in 2023, the CY invited the Judicial Yuan Criminal Department to come to the Control Yuan and to deliver a speech on the new citizen judges trial system.

Whistleblower Awareness Day Acknowledges Employee Courage
March 24, 2022 is Whistleblower Awareness Day. It’s a day for recognizing how difficult and yet how important it is to speak up if you are concerned about a possible wrongdoing in your workplace. Saskatchewan’s Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner, Mary McFadyen said, “I want to acknowledge the role of whistleblowers, particularly in the public sector, for having the courage to speak up if they think something is seriously wrong at work.”

He made this statement whilst addressing Paramount Chiefs, District Chairpersons, Mayors and other galaxy of eminent people and government functionaries at the Human Capital Development Advocacy Meeting held at the Moyamba District Council Hall.

Every year, around 1,600 students from the Caribbean part of the Kingdom embark optimistically on a study programme in the Netherlands, but many fail to make it to the end. The National Ombudsman drew attention to this issue. He investigated the challenges faced by Caribbean students and made recommendations for government and other organisations.

Public Protector to sign agreement with Gauteng Premier as part of stakeholder roadshow
The Public Protector South Africa (PPSA) and the Gauteng Provincial Government are set to enter into an agreement aimed at ensuring that requests for investigation-related information, among other things, are responded promptly to expedite investigative processes. Public Protector Adv.
