2017-07-13Preocupación por el incremento de fallecimientos por ahorcamiento en el Complejo Penitenciario Federal I de Ezeiza
El pasado sábado 8 de julio, por la tarde, se produjo la muerte por ahorcamiento de un detenido alojado en el Pabellón A de la Unidad Residencial IV del CPF I de Ezeiza. Se trata del séptimo fallecimiento bajo esa modalidad en el establecimiento, misma cantidad que en los treinta y seis meses anteriores (dos en 2014, tres en 2015 y dos más en 2016).

The Ombudsman of Hong Kong released to the public her Annual Report 2017. The Report noted that most government departments are receptive to the recommendations for improvement made by the Office of The Ombudsman to address their inadequacies. UN Global Compact on Migration: Preventing torture of migrants should be at core of Compact
In view of the increasing use of immigration detention as a deterrent of migration and the toughening of doemstic and regional migration policies resulting in human rights violations, the APT considers the Global Compact on Migration to be a timely opportunity to raise concerns over these issues.
