ENNHRI has submitted a third-party intervention to the European Court of Human Rights in the cases of Strøbye v. Denmark and Rosenlind v. Denmark concerning the right to vote for individuals who are under legal guardianship or deprived of their legal capacity. Ombudsman SA criticises treatment of young people in Adelaide Youth Training Centre
An investigation undertaken by the Ombudsman has identified that the agency formerly known as the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion, now the Department of Human Services, erred in its treatment of two young people in the Adelaide Youth Training Centre by subjecting them to inhumane treatment, including extended periods of isolation and solitary confinement.

Ombudsman of Hong Kong presented 2018-19 Annual Report to the public
The Hong Kong Ombudsman, Ms Winnie Chiu, presented to the public today (25 July) the 2018-19 Annual Report of the Office of The Ombudsman. The Office of The Ombudsman (the Office) received 4,991 complaints in 2018-19, slightly higher than the previous year’s figure. Among the complaints received, 205 were concluded by way of full investigation, of which 58 (28.3%) were substantiated or partially substantiated, similar to previous year’s figure of 26.2%.
