Luego de que el caso fuera resuelto el 6 de agosto de este año por el Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Córdoba, el JEP Nº1 instrumentó una serie de audiencias públicas con mujeres que tuvieron a sus hijos/as en condiciones que vulneran la dignidad humana y no respetan los derechos establecidos por la normativa internacional y nacional en relación con la condición de los cuerpos gestantes en situación de privación de la libertad.

2022-10-13National Ombudsman undertakes Peer Review
On October 21-22 in Manchester, the UK National Ombudsman will be submitting itself to an IOI-led Ombudsman peer review. The UK National Ombudsman undertook its first peer review in 2018. Since then, the Ombudsman has led the international effort to establish peer review as a critical tool to assess effectiveness more broadly, including against the Venice Principles. As a result, there are now IOI best practice papers and guidance on the subject.

The Minister of Finance has declined a request from the Yukon Ombudsman, Information and Privacy Commissioner, and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner, Jason Pedlar, to cease Government of Yukon’s unprecedented insertion into his budgetary process, and follow the legislated procedures designed to safeguard the independence of his three mandates. The Minister’s response has forced Pedlar to explore legal action to uphold international standards and protect the rights of Yukoners.

Se mantiene una doble velocidad en la implementación de la publicidad activa, en función del número de habitantes. En los canales de participación de la ciudadanía en la actividad pública hay retos pendientes. Buena parte de las denuncias no se traducen en procedimiento sancionador.
