This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Public Protector South Africa, a milestone that reflects not only the institution’s growth but also three decades of impactful service to the people of South Africa. The document presents a comprehensive analysis of the key trends, progress, and regressions in the human rights sector, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the protection of the most vulnerable members of society.

El informe anual de infancia del Síndic de Greuges de Cataluña concluye que la discriminación por edad afecta claramente a los niños e invisibiliza sus necesidades. Pide que se incorpore la perspectiva de la edad en las políticas públicas. La adolescencia y la primera infancia son los grupos de edad más desprotegidos. 

Integrantes del Servicio de Mediación y Conciliación de la Defensoría del Pueblo de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires porteña participaron de un taller en la institución de la provincia con el fin de compartir experiencias y herramientas y fortalecer las capacidades institucionales de dicha institución. La actividad se desarrolló el lunes 20 en el marco del proyecto “Abordaje de Conflictos con la Administración Pública”, que cuenta con el apoyo del Instituto Internacional del Ombudsman.

Los miembros del Yuan de Control Chen Chin-jun y Kuo Wen-tung realizaron una inspección en el distrito de Penghu del 2 al 3 de octubre de 2025. Inspeccionaron el distrito para abordar la gestión y preservación del medio ambiente marino, la conservación de los recursos hídricos y la operación y construcción del sistema de alcantarillado.

International delegations from Azerbaijan, Timor-Leste, the Philippines, and Indonesia visited the Ombudsman Punjab to observe the working of Helpline 1050, a flagship initiative ensuring transparent and efficient grievance redressal through the OPMIS system.

Le 31 octobre 2025, l’Ombudsman de l’Ontario, Paul Dubé, a marqué le 50e anniversaire de son Bureau en remerciant son équipe et ses prédécesseur(e)s pour leur rôle dans l’établissement d’une « institution démocratique essentielle » qui a contribué à améliorer les services publics pour des millions d’Ontarien(ne)s.
