The 28th Annual Meeting of the International Coordinating Committee (ICC) of National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in Geneva was marked by the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the ICC and the IOI on 12 March 2015.

CANADA: Ombudsman receives 10,000+ complaints about Hydro One

Investigation update: 4,075 cases resolved as systemic probe continues. UK: Local Government Ombudsman asks if children are being failed by complaints system

The pressures on the complaints system for children’s care services are being highlighted in a new report by the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO). In a number of case studies the LGO shows some of the common issues it sees in children’s social care complaints, including failure to recognise a children’s service complaint or long delays in the process.
