Canada | The Québec Ombudsman delivers its findings in its 2017-2018 Annual Report

On the occasion of the tabling of her Annual Report in the National Assembly of Québec on November 29, 2018, Ombudsperson Marie Rinfret called on Québec’s public services to honour their commitments.

"Government departments and agencies, correctional facilities and health and social services network institutions are duty-bound to dispense the services stipulated in legislation and policies. They must also provide appropriate information and process requests rigorously, fairly and promptly. I feel that considerable efforts are made to make good on these commitments. But, year after year, the files we handle show persistent shortcomings."
