THAILAND | Thai Ombudsman and Ministry of Supervision, PRC sign MoU

Office of the Ombudsman, Thailand (Ombudsman for Chief Ombudsman General Viddhavat Rajatanun) and the Ministry of Supervision, People’s Republic of China (Vice Minister Mr. Xiao Pei) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Bangkok on June 12th, 2017 in order to enhance capacity building through personnel enhancement programme and exchange of knowledge and best practice of the two organisations.

As state oversight mechanism, both organsations share similar objectives such as their best practices in administering justice to the citizens and stressed their readiness to foster the exchange of information and expertise and to facilitate participation, study visits and training curriculums. Bilateral cooperative channel is further encouraged, with the desire to improve the capacity building for anti-corruption and governmental supervision of both sides through strengthening cooperation by signing this MoU.

Vice Minister Xiao Pei also paid a courtesy visit on General Viddhavat Rajatanun where they exchanged experience on dealing with issues related to corruption and proposed to exchange of the official visit between two organisations to acheive the MoU.
