GEORGIA | Public Defender presents April edition of information bulletin

The Public Defender's April information bulletin offers information about the Office activities, including the developed recommendations and proposals, involvement in the legislative process, educational and training seminars, and information meetings in the regions, Public Defender's international visits and international stories about the protection of human rights.

Among the important events of April, the bulletin emphasizes the visit of the International Advisory Board, which aimed to help the Public Defender in defining and implementing the human rights priorities and perspectives. The bulletin reviews the implementation of the recommendations and expert assessments; provides information about the public debate on the topic of “Freedom of Association - Achievements and Challenges”, which was conducted with the participation of the International Advisory Board. In the bulletin readers will be able to get information about the purpose and content of the letter of invitation sent to the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to adequate housing, as well as about the positive decision of the Constitutional Court with regard to the Public Defender's lawsuit on wiretapping.
