BackThe January issue of “The Ombudsman”, a newsletter published by the Office of the Ethiopian Institution of the Ombudsman (EIO) informs – among other things – that the EIO is increasing the number of branches to become accessible to all citizens, who live in different regions. In addition to the six established branches, two new ones will be opened.
In order to strengthen constitutional democracy, investigation techniques and research and change management, EIO officials and expert drawn from the branch offices attended a seven day training on capacity building and various topics to better fulfill their mandate.
Further the EIO reports that several Government Institutions implemented the freedom of the mass media and access to information proclamation.
